Hay

We started in 2020 and the first two years we had no idea what we were doing as new farmers.  We worked really hard, we made a lot of hay, but not too much good hay.    We made a lot of different sized bales of hay, even though we were trying to make uniform bales of hay.  We sadly lost a lot of hay to moisture and lack of knowledge.  Working the farm gives new meaning to the phrase "make hay while the sun shines!" 

Now 2022 was a different story, Mason and his farming wisdom showed up and was able to properly tune the baler and ironed out the kinks in the equipment and the process. In 2022 we can proudly say we made beautiful Litchfield hay. The hay was all uniform in size, every bale was tight, green and smelled like pure mother nature.  We sold out in 2022 despite the fact that we lost some hay because we lacked storage space and it got wet.
